The executives of the People's Democratic Party( PDP) Federal Ward 8, Ethiope West local government area of Delta State has suspended Benjamin OBOH, Philo EDEDEY and others for anti- party activities.
Speaking to newsmen in a media chat at OGHARA, on Wednesday 29 March, the Secretary of the ward, Mr. Jones Omonisa JP said the decision to suspend Benjamin Oboh, Philo Ededey and others was a unanimous one by the party's executive after receiving a recommendation from the ward disciplinary committee, in line with the party constitution.
Other members suspended are MonicaEdedey, Abigail Uduaghan, Mr. Isaac Akpoyibo, Diamond Ededey, Mr. Prefect Aje, Chief Charles Adu, Mr. Edafe Aje and Chief Ese Atikpakpa for anti- party activities in working against the Peoples Democratic Party in the just concluded general election.
Omonisa said those of them that went to another party like Hon. Ben Igbakpa are no longer members of the People's Democratic party and cannot claim to have worked for the party in the governorship and House of assembly election when they vehemently worked against the PDP in the Presidential and National assembly election.
The PDP Secretary Federal Ward 8 Oghara also stated that Benjamin Oboh illegally convene a meeting in his residence after the governorship election, where he said he has passed a vote of no confidence on the executives of ward 8, and claimed to suspend all elected executives of the ward, describing his action as gross misconduct, capable of attracting sanctions and breaching peace in ward 8.
Subsequently, Omonisa urge all members of the party to disregard all publication to that effect as Benjahim Oboh and his group have no right to suspend any member of the People's Democratic Party.
