APOSTLE OLOLO CONGRATULATES CHRISTIANS AT CHRISTMAS.

As Christians celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ, a renowned televangelist and humanitarian pastor based in Sapele Local Government Area of Delta State, Apostle Dr. Daniel Ogharandukun Ololo of the Omega Prophetic Prayer Ministry, has congratulated Christians all over the world on this auspicious occasion of the Christmas season.
Apostle Daniel Ololo a.k.a Major 1, stated this in Sapele during the Sunday worship service while receiving a humanitarian award from Nel Xpress Magazine.

The man of God  while  urging well meaning Nigerians and Christians to show love to one another in the spirit of Christ's birth anniversary, noted that Jesus Christ is love and the best way to express such a gesture is by giving.

The OPPM General Oversteer then prayed for growth, peace and mercy for Nigeria.

INTERNATIONAL MIGRANTS DAY: DELTA HOLDS STAKEHOLDERS ENGAGEMENT SUMMIT, ROAD WALK



In commemoration of the 2023 International Day of Migrants, a -one day stakeholders engagement summit to raise more awareness against irregular migration has been organised in Delta State with the theme: Safe and Orderly Migration, what you need to know, have and do .

The International Day of Migrants is celebrated globally on December 18.

Speaking at the event, the Delta State Solicitor-General and Permanent Secretary in Ministry of Justice, Mr. Omamuzo Erebe, represented by Mrs. Juliet Ojefia the Director of Peoples Right Department said that the focus was to leverage on the theme of the event to sensitise youths who were mostly victims of irregular migration about the dangers association with it and to provide them with the understanding of the processes they needed to adhere for safe and orderly migration.

Erebe,  commended the taskforce and committee on irregular migration for being instrumental in shaping policies that prioritized the well-being of migrants and for their unwavering dedication to the course, stressed the need for collective efforts towards tackling irregular migration.

In a keynote address, the Coordinator of the Taskforce on Irregular Migration, Mrs. Nwanze Ijeoma , who said that the stakeholders engagement summit was targeted at the youths populace to commemorate the International Day of Migrants, noted that the State Taskforce on Irregular Migration was also saddled with the responsibility of coordinating the State Reintegration Committee.

Mrs. Nwanze reiterated that the International Day of Migrants was set aside to raise awareness on rights of migrants ,  the consequences and the dangers of irregular migration as well as the need to practice safe and orderly migration.

She recalled that the Taskforce on Irregular Migration was set up in the State by the immediate past administration after going through the  alarming reports that so many Deltans were being trafficked irregularly, adding that part of their mandates was to raise awareness to the public , particularly the youths  who she said were the targets of the smugglers.

Mrs. Nwanze told migrants that if they must travel outside the country, they should do so in a genuine manner by making information and enquiries that would be of benefits to them,  stressing that most people had been subjected to irregular migration due to ignorance.

She reminded migrants that there were several empowerment programmes by the Delta State Government for youths in the State that would assist them to harness their potentials.

While saying that irregular migration had been reduced in the State, Mrs. Nwanze hinted that there would be a road walk in Asaba, the State Capital to sensitise the people against irregular migration.

Earlier in their goodwill messages, the Permanent Secretary in the Delta State Ministry of Youths Development, Ngozi Mogbolu, a Deputy Controller of Immigration in charge of Migration in the State, Mrs. Okoye Azuka Tessy and  the Delta State Director of the National Orientation Agency (NOA), Mr. Chris Anyabuine as well as the representative of the International Organization on Migration, Mr. Ojo Olufisayo described the world migrants day as significant and called on youths to desist from desperate migration.

They explained that the stakeholders engagement summit was aimed at providing them with a platform to appraise their achievements so far in fighting irregular migration.

Ojo Olufisayo, specifically said that the International Organization on Migration had contacted about 12675 migrants and initiated reintegration for about 5127 while reintegration for  7548 migrants had  been completed.

DELTA STATE NUJ COUNCIL PAID COURTESY VISIT TO INOAGHAN..

The executives of Nigeria Union of Journalist, Delta State Council led by Comrade Churchill Oyowe, paid a courtesy visit to the executive Chairman Sapele local government, Hon. Eugene Inoaghan , appreciating the level of development in Sapele under the leadership of the local government Boss.

The State NUJ Team was received by Hon. Inoaghan, congratulating them on their election victory and pray that their tenure will be eventful and successful to the end that they will leave behind landmarks that others after them will try to surpass.

The team was taken round developmental projects in Sapele local government, notably among them were, The Legislative Complex at Sapele local government Secretariat, The local government Model School, Amukpe Market, Construction site of Community Road at Amukpe with drainage at both ends, Health Centres and others. 

Commenting of the feat, Oyowe said Sapele local government is not the richest in Delta State yet it is amazing to see the gigantic projects being carried out in Sapele under the leadership of Hon. Eugene Inoaghan.

Oyowe added that this feat is worth emulating, noting that the award of hard work is More Work and persons like Inoaghan that will soon finish his tenure at the local government,  and has promised to work till the last day of his tenure, needs to be given More Work in line with the MORE Agenda of the present administration.

CDS: CORP MEMBER IN DELTA URGES TEENAGE STUDENTS TO SET, FOCUS IN PURSUING THEIR GOALS.



The need for children set goals for themselves in life and be focused in pursuing such goals and abstain from unnecessary indulgence in negative vices has been brought to the fore .

A corp member serving at the Federal Medical Centre, Asaba in Delta State, Dr. Nonye Anuebunwa stated this in Asaba during a Goal Setting Conference she organized for teenage students drown from 8 secondary schools within the State Capital Territory as part of her Community Development Service (CDS).

Dr. Anuebunwa, who is the convener of the programme,  said that the essence of the Conference was to sensitise the teenagers on the importance of goal setting and to help them manage distractions that could make them not to achieve their full potentials in life .

She enjoined them to shun immorality and embrace right things in life , noting that the programme was also designed to assist teenagers with low self esteem and inferiority complex.


She also said that purpose of organising the Conference for the children was to equip them with the needed tips that would enable them impact positively on their lives ,  Delta State and Nigeria in general.

She told them that there was no goal without the vision and highlighted some of the secrets of achieve one's goals to include the ability to learn something new and identity where they were at the moment and start from there.

While encouraging them to show contentment in aspiring for greatness, Dr. Anuebunwa explained that for any mentoring and counseling programme to achieve the desired expectations, it was important to start from the foundation.

The Principal of West End Mixed Secondary School, Asaba, Mrs. Augusta Ogeah, who is a multiple award winning educationist in the State described the gesture as commendable, adding that she was supported the convener as a result of the impact of the initiative on the children.

In their various pep talks, the Director of Schools in the State Ministry of Secondary Education, Mrs. Justina Ishiaka, represented by a Chief Education Officer in the Ministry, Mrs. Ebinum-Olise F. O,  Pastor Ifeanyi Chukwekelu  and Mrs. Fredmark Uyoyo , Dr. Vivian Chukwuebuka reminded the students that they needed be committed in order to achieve their purpose in life.

Highpoint of the event was the distribution of her book titled: Teens Affirmation Kits to teenagers and students in all the schools present.
