HARVEST OF PROJECTS: OBOREVWORI COMMISSION PROJECTS IN SAPELE ... COMMEND INOAGHAN FOR QUALITY OF PROJECTS EXECUTED.

 

It was a harvest of projects as The Governor of Delta State, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori today, Commissions projects executed by the administration of Hon. Eugene Inoaghan, Chairman, Sapele Local Government Area of the state.

While commissioning the roads, schools, health centres and other infrastructure across the Local Government Area, Governor Oborevwori expressed satisfaction with the quality and people-oriented nature of the projects, saying it demonstrated good utilization of resources and responsiveness to the yearnings of the people.

He commended Hon. Inoaghan for leaving behind a legacy of excellent service delivery, noting that past administrations were often criticized for lack of impactful projects but the story has changed for the better in Sapele LGA. 

"I'm proud to say this is money well utilized. You have not disappointed your people. Posterity will judge us based on the legacy of good governance, transparency and accountability we leave behind," the Governor stated.

While welcoming His Excellency, Governor Sheriff Oborevwori to Sapele local government area,, Hon. Inoaghan thanked Governor Oborevwori for finding time out of his busy schedule to visit Sapele and commission the projects, which included the construction of Inoaghan Crescent, Adarighofua Road, a modern Legislative Chamber, schools, health centres, market stores and others.

He said the projects were executed through direct labour inline with Governor Oborevwori's M.O.R.E agenda to advance Delta State. Hon. Inoaghan assured of the council's continued support for the Governor's vision and pledged more dividends of democracy to residents.

Inoaghan added that most of the projects executed were done to ameliorate the difficulties people go through in the local government area, sighting the 59 lock up and open stores at Amukpe market as a case study, Inoaghan said the project helped to solve the problem of traders selling their wares on a part of the ever busy Sapele/ Warri express way.

Residents who spoke at the event commended the projects and Governor Oborevwori for the inspection, saying it would boost development and end years of suffering on the dilapidated roads. They appealed for more impactful projects and pledged continuous support.

CUSTOMARY COURTS JUDGES, MAGISTRATES, CRITICAL STAKEHOLDERS IN JUSTICE DELIVERY-----OHWOVORIOLE.



Delta State  Attorney-General and  Commissioner for Justice, Mr. Ekemejero Ohwovoriole, SAN, has described judges of lower courts such as magistrates and customary courts as critical stakeholders in justice delivery.

Ohwovoriole stated this in his office in Asaba when members of the Customary Court Department and Magistracy paid him a  courtesy visit .

He commended the group for congratulating him on his appointment, adding that he was honored because it was coming from his own constituencies.

Ohwovoriole said that working together, they would achieve the objectives of the state government, which according to him was the enforcement of the rule of law in the state.

On the request of the group for the state government to increase their retirement age to 65 years, Mr. Ohwovoriole told them that there must be established procedures and guidelines to go about such issues since it was a national issue and not that of the state.

He lauded them for their support and assured them that everything would be handled in line with the rule of law establishing them.

Earlier, the leader of the delegation, Mr. Carl Moeteke ,noted that the appointment of Mr. Ohwovoriole was a round peg in a round hole, stressing that they were proud of him having grown from the system to the rank of a Senior Advocate of Nigeria, SAN.

Moeteke appealed to the state government to increase their retirement age to 65 , saying that Delta State should emulate states like Osun , Adamawa and Kwara in this regard.

Highpoint of the visit was the presentation of a collated document to Mr. Ohwovoriole.

Meanwhile, the State Attorney -General also received the members of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Asaba Branch led by its chairman, Mr. Precious Nwadimuya, who came to congratulate him .
 
Speaking during the visit, Mr. Nwadimuya said that the visit was to felicitate him, being a member of the Branch on his appointment as the State Attorney -General and Commissioner for Justice.

Nwadimuya , however, pledged the support and cooperation of the members of the Branch to the Commissioner in his determination to enhance justice delivery in the state.

Responding, Mr. Ohwovoriole solicited the support of the body and assured them that as the Attorney -General of the state and member of the Asaba Branch of the Association, he would be the bridge between the government and the Association by carrying the Association along in the scheme of things.

COMTOA , SAPELE CHAPTER DEBUNKED REPORT OF A MEMBER KILLING A TRICYCLE MAN IN SAPELE.

Executives of Motorcycle and Tricycle operators Association ( COMTOA) Sapele local government Chapter has Debunked report of a member killing a Tricycle man in Sapele.

In a press statement signed by the Vice Chairman of the association, Comrade  Urhie Blessing, on 14 February, the association Debunked the report going on in different Social Media platforms alleging that a member of the association strangled a Tricycle  Man to death.

COMTOA, Sapele Chapter, why noting that such incident occurred in Sapele, uses the medium to inform the general public that the so called person is not a member of the association and not a member of their Taskforce.

Comrade Urhie pointed out that the incident occurred at a time that their Taskforce were not out to check defaulters for non compliance of buying tickets and that COMTOA Taskforce always work as a Team of Four to Five persons and not a One Man Squad.

Urhie asked the public to disregard such rumour that is linked to their Taskforce.

Hon. Perkins Awolowo Umukoro, the Chief Whip of Delta State House of Assembly celebrates Okakuro (Barr) Kingsley Esiso, the Chairman of the People's Democratic Party( PDP) Delta State on the occasion of his 60th Birthday celebration.

CLERGYMAN ENROLLS ALL PRIMARY SIX PUPIL IN A PUBLIC PRIMARY SCHOOL IN SAPELE.


The General Overseer of Omega  Prophetic Prayer Ministry (OPPM) in Sapele,  Apostle Daniel Ololo has paid enrolment fee of all Primary Six Pupil of Ethiope Primary School, Amukpe Sapele.

Speaking to newsmen at the occasion, Apostle Ololo said the gesture is part of his effort in promoting Education and ensuring quality Education of every child at all levels.
Ololo added that the desire to invest in the Children's education came as a result of his love for education, that the importance of education can never be over emphasised as the key to nation building and Children are the leaders of tomorrow.
Ololo said it is more blessed to give than 
to receive, and that giving is the best way of expressing love, called on others to give to humanity and show love as stated in the teachings of Jesus Christ.

Pupils of the school at Amukpe in Sapele local government area led by their Head Teacher, expressed gratitude to God Almighty and to Apostle Ololo, stating that the clergyman is a gift to our generation.

Sapele residents and parents of the pupils were not left out in the appreciation to God and to Apostle Ololo for paying the enrolment fee for all pupils of Ethiope Primary School Amukpe for the 2024 May- June Primary School leaving certificate Examination.

IBADA-ELUME COMMUNITY POUR ECONIUM ON EGBEDI FOR DONATION OF TRANSFORMER TO THEIR COMMUNITY.

Residents of Ibada- Elume Community in Sapele local government Area has poured Econium on Hon. ( Okakuro) Julius Egbedi, Desopadec Commissioner representing Sapele, Ethiope West and Okpe local government Area, for the donation of a Transformer to the Community.

Speaking at the occasion, Egbedi said the transformer is part of his electioneering promise to the Ibada-Elume Community before the 2023 Governorship election that made the community, led by Mr. Emmanuel Ichede and all elders in Council in the community to agree to vote for PDP candidate.

Egbedi equally intimated the community that the donation of the transformer is the beginning of the MORE AGENDA of the Delta State government of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori administration.

Most residents that spoke with the press  poured Econium on Egbedi, Desopadec and the state government, as they expressed their joy and satisfaction on the donation and installation of the transformer.

Abule Johnson said the community has been without good lighting for up to two years now, that whenever there is power, it is always low voltage. but since that installation of the new transformer, they have started getting good power. He thanked Hon. Egbedi and the State Governor, His Excellency, Sheriff Oborevwori for this feat.

Charity Egbeku, another resident added that she sells provision at Ibada- Elume that includes drinks, and for over two years now, she can hardly boost of cool drinks to sell to her customers, all these are now history with the installation of the transformer. She poured praises on Desopadec and the state government led by Governor Sheriff Oborevwori

Obukokwo Benjamin noted that he had to quit fresh fish market for over two years now because there had been no power to store his goods.
With the provision of this transformer, I will go back to my former business-- He said. 
Obukokwo eulogized Julius Egbedi for fulfilling his electioneering promise to the community and to the state governor, His Excellency Sheriff Oborevwori, for making this dream a reality.
He added that " Indeed, MORE development will follow".
