Ikpigben Emerge Chairman At All Progressive People's Party (APC) Congress In Sapele


Francis Ikpigben emerge the Chairman of the All Progressive People's Party ( APC) in Sapele at the Congress held on Saturday 21st February 2026 at the Sapele township Stadium. 

The congress had in attendance, all ward Chairmen and their executives, Hon. Bright Abeke, Chairman Sapele local government Area, Former PDP State Chairman, Bar. Kingsley Esiso, Ejiro Jamani, Commissioner for Environment, Hon. Perkins Umukoro, Chief Whip, Delta State House of Assembly, Mr. Austin Ayemidejor and others. 

The congress was conducted by APC returning Officer, Blessing Akamugbe and Representative of the Independent National Electoral Commission ( INEC). 

Others that emerged were Ikomi Gbugbemi as Vice Chairman. 
Solomon Ofarn as Secretary, Omosuvie Henry as Assistant Secretary, Hero Asagba as Youth Leader and others. 

Speaking with the press after the congress, Sen. Ede Dafinone, Senator representing Delta Central Senatorial District congratulated those that emerged as Local government leaders -- the grassroot and stressed that the congress was not about factional loyalty but about electoral values. 

Dafinone added that what took place was the sharing of power according to the strongest contender in every unit, and Ward. 

In the process, Party members were made to participate by engaging themselves in coming out with the strongest contender. 

Dafinone added that all will be carried along as it must be ONE United Party, for that is what everyone in APC Sapele local government Area, is working towards. 

Others interviewed praised the leadership and stakeholders for the peaceful conduct of the congress and sued for unity and inclusiveness for the Party to strive.

Francis Ikpigben speaking after emerging as Chairman said he promise to operate an inclusive government and work with all stakeholders to ensure landslide victory for the APC in the forth coming election in 2027.
