Delta State Commissioner for Primary Education, Dr. Kingsley Ashibogwu has affirmed that in adherence with the Delta State Government (DTSG) commitment to sustain smooth and effective implementation of school academic calendar in all public and private primary schools for the growth and developmment of education in the state.
Dr. Ashibogwu ,who stated this in Asaba, said that the State Government was ready for school resumption on Monday, September 11, 2023.
He said that adequate preparation measures had been put in place by the State Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education to ensure that nothing hindered the implementation of school calendar.
The Commissioner described the policy trust of the Oborevwori's administration in the education sector as the one that would have multipliers effect on the lives of Deltans.
He said that the State Government had put in place conducive learning and teaching environment for teachers in public schools in the state.
Dr. Ashibogwu urged teachers, especially those in the primary arm of the school system to adhere strictly to the 2023/2024 academic calendar that had already been released for the overall benefits of the learners and the state in general.
Dr. Ashibogwu, who said that the call had become necessary , noted that they should give adequate attention to the children and guide them morally, mentally and academically.
He enjoined them to carry out their responsibilities with utmost commitment and dedication, adding that they should follow their scheme of work.
Dr. Ashibogwu said that the primary stage of the educational pursuit of every child was critical in their aspirations for higher learning.
The Commissioner, however, admonished parents to take the educational needs of their children as top most priority, stressing that there was imperative to bring them up in the right direction.
