THERE IS NO AJIMELE COMMUNITY IN SAPELE--- SAPELE OKPE COMMUNITY REACT TO ONLINE PUBLICATION.


Okakuro  Onoriode Temiagin, Chairman Sapele Okpe Community in a press briefing on Wednesday 3 January stated that there is no Ajimele Community in Sapele local government Area, and whoever is making that ascertain should desist from it as Sapele is a place of peace.

The press briefing held at the Sapele Okpe Community hall, at Olympia has Representatives from all quarters that make up the Sapele Okpe Community in attendance.

Speaking at the briefing, Temiagin said the gathering is a peaceful invitation to correct the wrong impression that was made public on 4 November 2023, Captured " Installation of Olare-aja" .

 He noted that it is not possible to have another community in Sapele Okpe Community stressing that  Oku-Imele is in Ogodo quarters of Sapele Okpe Community and it is in Okpe land as such, that publication of 4 November 2023 should be rescinded. 

Temiagin further noted that there is nothing like Ajimele Community in Sapele, that It is a Father that Christian a "Child" and not a stranger,  adding that Sapele local government is made up of Five distinct Communities known to all and by law, The five Communities are:
Sapele Okpe Community
Amukpe Community
Elume Community
Ozue Community
Ugborhen Community

Okakuro Temiagin, pointed out that strangers that come to settle in other places should not be seen as holding claim to the lands they sojourn but rather show respect to the owners of the land as no land in Sapele belong to any other tribe but the Okpe people.
He added that Sapele has other strangers leaving peacefully among the Okpe people, they are the Igbos, Yoruba, Hausa, Ijaws, Binis and others.

He clarifies that there is no Itsekiri Community in Sapele local government area and all land in Sapele local government belong to the Okpe people and their Paramount leader is the Orodje Of Okpe Kingdom.

Oku-Imele is in Ogodo quarters of Sapele Okpe Community and Not a Community of their own, that this point should be well noted.

Temiagin pointed out that Sapele Okpe Community has Four quarters, Namely:
Egborode
Etamua
Oton
and Ogodo quarters

Stating that these are the only recognised quarters in Sapele Okpe Community.
