Residents of Ibada- Elume Community in Sapele local government Area has poured Econium on Hon. ( Okakuro) Julius Egbedi, Desopadec Commissioner representing Sapele, Ethiope West and Okpe local government Area, for the donation of a Transformer to the Community.
Speaking at the occasion, Egbedi said the transformer is part of his electioneering promise to the Ibada-Elume Community before the 2023 Governorship election that made the community, led by Mr. Emmanuel Ichede and all elders in Council in the community to agree to vote for PDP candidate.
Egbedi equally intimated the community that the donation of the transformer is the beginning of the MORE AGENDA of the Delta State government of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori administration.
Most residents that spoke with the press poured Econium on Egbedi, Desopadec and the state government, as they expressed their joy and satisfaction on the donation and installation of the transformer.
Abule Johnson said the community has been without good lighting for up to two years now, that whenever there is power, it is always low voltage. but since that installation of the new transformer, they have started getting good power. He thanked Hon. Egbedi and the State Governor, His Excellency, Sheriff Oborevwori for this feat.
Charity Egbeku, another resident added that she sells provision at Ibada- Elume that includes drinks, and for over two years now, she can hardly boost of cool drinks to sell to her customers, all these are now history with the installation of the transformer. She poured praises on Desopadec and the state government led by Governor Sheriff Oborevwori
Obukokwo Benjamin noted that he had to quit fresh fish market for over two years now because there had been no power to store his goods.
With the provision of this transformer, I will go back to my former business-- He said.
Obukokwo eulogized Julius Egbedi for fulfilling his electioneering promise to the community and to the state governor, His Excellency Sheriff Oborevwori, for making this dream a reality.
He added that " Indeed, MORE development will follow".
