The local government election held today 13 July, in Sapele was peaceful.

A visit to a polling booth at Ward 4 by MRS filling station and Sapele Okpe Community hall, revealed that accreditation started by 10.00am, after which voting commenced.
At Okotie -Eboh grammar school, Disec Ward 9, voting was ongoing and orderly
The immediate past local government chairman, Sapele local government, Hon. Eugene Inoaghan was seen voting at Ward 12.
Inoaghan speaking with the press, thanked the Governor, RTH. Hon.Sheriff Oborevwori and PDP for a credible and fair election.
Hon. Bright Abeke, the PDP Chairmanship candidate was equally seen at his home after casting his vote .
Speaking with the press, Abeke said so far the election had been peaceful, free and fair and he is hopeful that the PDP will emerge winner at the end of the day, at all levels.
Hon. Cyril Ogodo, the Director General of PDP Campaign Team in Sapele in a media chat after voting said the election is peaceful, free and fair.
Ogodo posit that it is going to be a landslide victory for the PDP in today's election and that he is satisfied with the massive turnout of voters and the general conduct of the election.
Ogodo thanked the State Governor, Rth. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori and the PDP Campaign Team for the peaceful election procedure recorded so far.
