Environmental Sanitation: Sapele Stood Still As Residents Complied


Sapele town stood still as residents complied to staying at home between the hours of 7.00am  to 10.00am and many were seen keeping their surroundings clean. 
There were minima vehicular movement and stores were closed during the hours of the exercise.

At Naval Barrack Ugbeyiyi, Naval personnel were seen clearing the grasses along their fence and inside the Barrack. 

Major dump sites were cleared along New Ogorode road, Ojolu, Ireto road, Okpe Grammar School, Amukpe and others. 

Darlinton Ogbodu  a resident interviewed said Sapele residents have imbibed sanitation  culture to the end that even without much prompting from official angles, resident came out in their numbers to keep their surroundings clean. 

Obehi Obodo another resident interviewed praised the Chairman, Sapele local government area, Hon. Bright Afure Abeke for his consistency in ensuring that the ideals of the monthly Sanitation exercise is always upheld so much so that residents have become used to the monthly exercise.
Obehi praised the local government for all efforts they put in keeping the local government area clean.

Health officials from Sapele local government Secretariat also went round town to monitor the sanitation exercise along with some Newsmen. 

Hon. Bright Abeke, executive Chairman, Sapele local government Area was also on ground to monitor the exercise.
