Public And Private Schools In Sapele To Resume Academic Activities For Third Term On Tuesday 25 April.

Public and Private schools in Sapele are to resume academic activities for 3rd term 2022/2023 academic year on Tuesday 25 April, 2023.

The resumption date that was formerly slated for Monday 24 April had to be shifted to Tuesday because of the  Muslim Eld -Fitre celebration holiday that was declared by the Federal government to be Friday 21 April and Monday 24 April.

Most Private Schools in town have started making preparation for resumption as teachers and other non--Academic staff have resumed work since Monday this week to get ready their lesson notes, other learning materials and to keep the environment clean to welcome pupils and students back to school come next week.

Mrs. Eweto Patricia, Principal in one of the private schools visited commented that the 2nd term holiday was very short( barely about 3 weeks for students but 2 weeks for teachers).

Eweto said in these two weeks, teachers only had one week to rest as the first week was utilize in preparing 2nd term result scores for pupils and students/ giving out same to guardians.

Eweto opined that, despite the short holiday, her staff are ready and happy to commence the 3rd term with all zest noting that it is in this term that the JSS 3 examination and the Senior Secondary School examination will take place.
