COMMISSIONER OF POLICE, DELTA STATE, VISIT SAPELE AREA COMMAND.

The New Commissioner of Police, Delta State has paid a courtesy visit to Sapele Area Command calling on all to join hands in policing the state.

The Commissioner of Police CP Wale Abass was at Sapele area Command on Thursday, 13 July to acquaint himself with his Command and the people of Sapele local government area.

He was receive by a mammoth crowd at the vicinity of the Area Command and given a warm welcome.

Earlier, in an introductory speech, the State Police Spokesman, Bright Edafe said CP Wale Abass is the 21st Police Commissioner to serve in Delta State after his amiable service in Benue State for a year and four months.

Edafe described the Commissioner as a Man that is open to all,  concerned about the welfare  of the Police Force under his Command as well as his assignment in the State. 

In his speech, CP Wale Abass, said Sapele Area Command is the first command he is visiting since assumption of office in the state.
He said he had planned to pay visit first to the command in Effurun but some how, Sapele became the first to visit.

CP Wale called on all to join hands with the Police force to keep the state safe and conducive for living and investment as the Police force needs their cooperation to effectively safe guard lives and properties.

He stated that the impact of such collaboration is that investors will be attracted to the state and everyone can sleep with "their two eyes closed"  at night or day.

CP Abass thanked the Traditional and Spiritual leaders present and called on their support to make the town and the state a safe heaven for all.

He ended his speech by saying " With the number and Calibre of persons I have seen here today to receive and welcome me, I am sure I am in safe hands and will get the cooperation of all" .

Present at the event were;  Chief Godwin Atose, Former Chairman, Sapele local government Council, Chief Patrick Akamovba, Former Chairman, Sapele Okpe Community,  ArcBishop Godday Iboyi and others.
