Students of Our Saviour Secondary School in Sapele came out 2nd in Seplat Pearls Competition held at Asaba.
Our Saviour Secondary school came out 1st position in Delta State but emerged overall 2nd position at the finals that features other schools from Edo State.
The prestigious competition organized by Seplat Petroleum Development Company as part of it's Corporate Social Responsibility initiative, " Preparing Exceptional and Responsible Leaders( PEARLs)", bore witness to a remarkable showcase of exceptional talent and academic excellence from schools in Edo and Delta states.
The grand finale unfolded on Thursday 26 October at the Southern Event Center in Asaba, Delta State and was graced by distinguished personalities with Dr. Kingsley Emu, Secretary to the Delta State government, representing Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborivwori, The Executive Governor, Delta State.
Chioma Afe, Director of External affairs and sustainability at Seplat, highlighted the company's unwavering commitment as a responsible corporate citizen, and emphasised that their focus is on healthcare, education, capacity building, youth empowerment and infrastructural development within their host communities in Edo and Delta states.
Our Saviour Secondary school came out 2nd position overall and the students that represented the school were given cheque of Seventy- Five thousand naira (N75,000) each as their winning prize.
